The Private MUN program fosters future professional diplomats
Model United Nations
Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic and educational simulation in which students role-play as delegates, representing a specific country, organization, or historical figure to participate in a simulated session of a United Nations committee, such as the Security Council, General Assembly, or Human Rights Council.
The core objective of MUN is to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of diplomacy, international relations, pressing global issues, and the operational procedures of the UN. Throughout the simulation, delegates are required to research their assigned nation's policy on a given topic, prepare and deliver speeches, engage in intense debates, negotiate to form alliances, and ultimately collaborate to draft and vote on Resolutions which propose solutions to the global problems on the agenda.
This hands-on experience helps participants develop a crucial skill set, including public speaking, debate, negotiation, in-depth research, and critical thinking. MUN conferences are widely held across the globe for students at the middle school, high school, and university levels.

S.MUN (Model United Nations) is a regularly held, professional, and large-scale Model United Nations program in Vietnam, directly organized and managed by the SCF Foundation. S.MUN is proud to be the only MUN program in Vietnam currently structured at the General Assembly (GA) level, aiming to standardize its rules of procedure in preparation for upcoming regional and Asian sessions.
With a mission to equip delegates with the necessary skills and confidence to become future professional diplomats, S.MUN focuses on closely simulating the actual proceedings of the General Assembly and prioritizing discussions on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program is not just a conference but a comprehensive training framework, committed to providing an in-depth experience of global diplomacy, while also issuing Delegate Certificates that hold international validity for 3 years

S.MUN is proud to be the first and, to date, the only Model United Nations (MUN) program in Vietnam structured at the United Nations General Assembly (GA) level. This model was adopted to standardize the rules of procedure in preparation for the upcoming S.MUN Southeast Asia and S.MUN Asia sessions.
By closely simulating the General Assembly sessions, delegates are able to experience the true essence of global diplomacy, where they are transformed into national leaders making global policy decisions. Due to the high-level nature of the General Assembly, speeches and procedural development must strictly adhere to diplomatic regulations. Through this model, S.MUN's objective is to equip delegates with all the necessary professional skills and qualities, cultivating the confidence required to become future professional diplomats.

Who can become a Delegate at S.MUN?
S.MUN is a Private Model United Nations program, which necessitates an extremely strict and rigorous selection process for Delegates. Candidates must meet specific requirements regarding foreign language proficiency, professional attitude, knowledge, and diplomatic skills. Being approved to become an S.MUN Delegate is a matter of great pride, signifying the participant's exceptional competence. Approved Delegates will be issued an S.MUN Model United Nations Delegate Card and a certificate with a 3-year international legal guarantee. The individuals whom we approve to become Delegates include:
Group 1: Delegates belonging to the United Nations Program system.
Group 2: Outstanding Delegates with letters of recommendation from Universities, High Schools, and Middle Schools.
Group 3: Delegates with high achievements in domestic and international academic or social competitions.
Group 4: Delegates directly invited by an official letter from S.MUN.
If you do not belong to any of the above groups, you cannot self-register for S.MUN; you are required to send an email to s.mun@scf.asia to provide your information and submit your application for participation.
